Dead Prom Date- Wear a formal dress and paint face white. Show how you died like having a fake knife coming out of your back or have tire tracks on your dress. Kathy
Dead Tinkerbell- Curl your hair and make it all pretty but make your face look really dead! Wear gold lipstick. Get a yellow dress and a black dress that are
the same and cut holes in the black dress so when you put the yellow (or gold) dress on and then you put the black one over it it will give you a dead look!! Wear

Zombie Bridesmaid-I'm a pre-teen and last year I made my own costume and I wanted to share it with everyone on this website. I call it the
"Zombie Bride's Maid". It's simply an old lime green or black dress that's covered with dust or dirt or fake cobwebs and a torn shell. Add dark makeup(lots of eyeliner
and grey eyeshadow) and black stick. I wore black contacts (you can buy them online) and a wore my hair in a messy bun. I finished off my costume with a fake
white rose that I painted black. If you want you can add a cute black sash or a torn black purse to make it cooler. I hope you like my idea!- Sarah
Vampire- Get an old black or dark sheet, cut it to look like a cape. Just wear dark tight clothes and the cape. Slick your hair back and if you are a

Egyptian Princess- So have a marilyn monroe style halter dress in white- give it a little touch of gold with sewing on gold hem all around it.
Then add some accessories like gold arm band, gold bengals maybe even a thick gold belt to put around your waist. Also gold ballet slippers or ballet flats
with a gold bow would look good. And a thick gold choker would also look awesome then maybe put on a black wig and if you wear contacts or glasses maybe get those

Fairy- Attach a long golden hair wig with your hair. Wear a long shiny skirt with many flairs & a white shiny top. Then wear a sparkling red cloak raised

Tooth Fairy- I was a tooth fairy one halloween. I wore: a necklace of toothbrushes, strung on dental floss, a crown with teeth on the crown points,
I carried a wand that had toothpaste at the end of it. I don't remember if i had wings, but much can be done with that, I'm sure maybe, cotton balls on the wings?
... I had long purple hair and a purple witches costume on. Since I am a Children's Librarian, we have a big halloween bash the Sat. before halloween!

Masquerade/Mardi Gras- You should get any kind of wig that is funky and that you like, then get a top hat, and suspenders, then you can get your own mask
if you want but I am going to paint on my mask and then you can get creative and put sequins on your face, you can wear any kind of pants that you whould like. I'm
going with skinny jeans and (if you wear shorts, capris, or skirt have really bright leggings) also put on some lace gloves and some mardi gras beads. I'm excited for

Paris Hilton- all you need is a pink sparkly dress, pink high heels, sunglasses, and a chuwawa in a big purse and what do you know you are the
idiotic paris hilton.- Martha
Flapper- Go to a thrift store and pick out a loose dress with straps. Then go to a craft store, Hobby Lobby, Wal-mart, etc. and buy some material and
fringe the same color as the dress. Make a sash from the material and a headband, hot glue a feather to it. Then either hot glue or sew the fringe onto the front
and back, or front only of the dress. Add heels, and a feather boa. Your a Flapper!- Kristi
Gothic Goddess- Take an old black dress (preferably one from e-bay or a thrift store), rip holes in the top of the dress. Wear a black fishnet shirt
beneath the top of the dress & for a more 'Goddess' feel make a 'faux fur' shrug by sewing the pattern with fake craft fur (some is available with a bottom to it).
Next,take and rip the bottom all the way to knee lenghth, or higher if you are comfortable. It would be practical to wear a pair of black hoseiry underneath,
but you don't have to. Take a pair of old, black heels and wear. For hair, pull up into a pretty bun, with some loose strands hanging out after dying it (or spray
coloring what have you) black. You will need to buy some white powder, and apply it to every part of your skin that shows. Next apply black eyeliner all around your
eyes. Use the eyeliner to do a celtic cross (look up for info) on either cheek. Blacken lips with lipstick or lipstain,and voila. One Gothic Goddess!- Renasance
Grandpa- This costume is great for girls. Wear khaki pants that are slightly too small, with tube socks beneath them. Get an extremely large button up shirt.
Put a big pillow under the shirt, and tuck in the shirt. Add suspenders for best looks! Try to get a black hat, and glasses you can put on your nose. Good Luck!-Sarah
The Big Switch- ok me and my bff are gonna go as each other ..ok like she has dark hair and I have blonde so were getting wigs and were wearing each others

Egg- This is a great idea that I read out of a magazine for kids costumes or even adults that you can make at home thats easy peesy: Cut a white poster board into the shape of an egg white
Find a yellow mixing bowl at your local cooking supply store and simply hot glue is to the center of the "egg white"
Wear a long sleve black tshirt, black pants, and black shoes. My son used this for halloween and it was a big hit. Have fun!!!- Julia
Sharpay- Get a really cute top and cut it to make to make a
kind of a scrapless top then get a red ribbon and get in the middle and glue it to the top.(let it set for 5 hour)Then get some gold jeans and red highheels.

Hot Air Balloon- Cut out bottom of laundry basket. Tie helium filled balloons to the sides and gather them at the top. Put doll in basket as passenger.

Geisha- Wear a red and gold dress (or kimono-type top over leggings). Paint face white and wear red lipstick and bright eyeshadow (gold or blue works best).

Movie Theater Floor- You can use any t-shirt or sweatshirt. Take candy wrappers, soda cups, popcorn kernels and even some movie ticket stubs. Stick them

Poodle Girl- wear a poofy skirt with a little poodle on it. You might have to go back in time a little bit. back in the elvis days. also try wearing a

Dead Skateboarder- wear straight leg jeans and skate shoes. wear a white short sleeve t-shirt and get some paint or fake blood. put fake blood on your side.

One-Night Stand- What you do is get a big cardboard box (one that can fit on your body) and paint a night stand on it, then you use a lamp shade as your hat.

Twiggy- It works well if you stick to black and white or 60's bright POP colors. Huge white sunglasses(easy to find lately), white lipstick, lots of eye
liner and mascara, hair done in a flip or if its short a bob, knee high white boots(we got ours off Ebay),really short A-line dress or jumper, big plastic dangle
earrings. There are lots of images of Twiggy from the late 1960's and early 70's on the internet to get ideas from. This is really a great girls costume.-Martha
Elle Woods from Legally Blonde- It helps if you have blonde hair to start with or use a blonde wig, pink pillbox Jackie O style hat, pink suit jacket and
skirt, pink heels, dog carrier type pink purse with a little dog in it, real or stuffed you decide! I found lots of pink suit jackets at the local thrift store,
they needed altering to fit my daughter, but easily done for something that only has to hold together for 1 day. We chose the one that we thought was the best color
pink. ($2.99)For the hat we are covering a vintage hat with pink fabric. (we already had the hat) We are probably making the skirt from scratch unless one turns
up at the thrift store. I got the dog carrier off ebay for $9.99 and it looks exactly like the one Elle carries! If you have a girly girl this is a good
one and gets away from the usual fairy princess or good witch!- Martha
Black Tinker Bell- Have a black short or medium skirt, with a black tank top and or long sleeve shirt. Wear black winks and have any style hair and makeup.- Ashley
Cheez-it!- take 2 poster board and lay a peice of news paper over both poster boards. Then staple 1/2 of it down on to the posters and stuff this half with
newspaper so it looks like the lumps that are on a cheez-it. Then staple the rest down so on both poster boards it looks like a black and white cheez-it. You then
spray paint both orange and sprinkle sparkles on top to make it look like salt. ( right now both posters should look the same.) Now take 2 peice of black cloth,
about 6-12 inches long, and staple one to the right top of one poster and the left top of the other poster. Then do thw same thing on the other side so you can
now drape the poster boards over you. Finally you wear black clothes so the orange sticks out and may want to put some orange make-up on your face. For the
top of your head you may want to take a hole puncher and punch holes into either sides of a cheez-it box, ( that used to contain the small snack bags of cheez-its)
You then put another peice of cloth and staple it on. You now have your cheez-it!!- Cairo
Hannah Montana- if you have blonde long hair straighten it and let your bangs show if not get a wig then all you need is jeans a rockin shirt a red,
silver or black leather jacket and boots- Chelsea
Fallen Angel- Get a dark looking black dress, Make some wings with cardboard or you can buy it. If made-paint the wings black and make some sort of
wicked pattern on it or make it look nice and scary. Buy some face paint and paint your face pail of some sort or a greyish colour to make you lo0k fallen.
Add a goth style to your face, you will for surely not be recongized. The best thing to do when your making your own constume is to get other great ideas from
any other one. Put your ideas together and let your imagination run wild!- DarkMatters
Old Lady- Wear a long floral dress. A shawl is always nice. If you want you could add some gray makeup to look like wrinkles. Carry a large coat. Wear

Goth- I am going as a goth this year! I have a black lacy dress which my mum bought ages ago for her, since its horrible and looks gothic! She cut it to a
short lacy dress and looks fab! Yet, a black MINI skirt will do just as good ;). A black wig (Unless you have black hair) Or spray your hair black. Black fishnet
tights and leg warmers too! Lots of make up as well! Black eyeshadow, mascara , eyeshadow and white foundation or face paint. Cheers!- Beth
Pumpkin- Last year I went as a pumpkin for halloween. Everything was kind of last minute and didn't work out as to plan so make sure you get everything
at least a week or so before the big day!. I just wore a cool pumpkin out fit which had, a foamy pumpkin top, green trousers and a hat which had the little cork.
I managed to get orange and black stripey tights. Advise!: Paint your face, don't wear a mask!- Beth

Ghost- I have got an idea for a home made costume just get a white blanket and make 2 holes for the eyes (only 2) put the blanket over your head and your a
