Glue a 12 x 8 piece of brown grocery bag near the bottom of a 12 x 18 sheet of blue construction paper. Use green paint and a small square sponge to dab green blotches in an irregular triangular area above the brown rectangle. Pour three cups of popped corn into a lunch-size bag. Put two heaping tablespoons of powdered tempera paint (red) into the bag. Close and shake to coat the popcorn. Spread glue onto the green areas and add popcorn.
DOGWOOD FLOWERS
Have children draw a tree shape with branches. Glue on popped corn as the dogwood flowers. Really pretty spring art project.
